Pletttenberg Bay Game Reserve has always put wildlife and animals first and strives to give guests the best experience they possibly can expect from a game reserve. With this in mind it has been decided that the lions, cheetahs and wild dogs that have been kept in large enclosures will no longer be available to be viewed as all other game on the reserve move freely and are viewed in their natural state.
Plett Game Reserve keeps up with the highest international standards of protecting and looking after its animals and therefore all game viewed will be free-roaming and natural as in any big game reserve in Africa.
All other predators such as leopard, caracal, honey badgers and small wild cats still roam freely on the reserve.
This decision was made in the interest of wildlife being put first and our guests receiving a great natural experience.
